CYPHER believes in the inherent wisdom of our youth and their communities to come up with practical, innovative, and affordable solutions that bridge the “Climate Gap” or the disproportionate effect of climate change that falls on vulnerable communities. Our conversation with Rondine Macadaeg, General Counsel and Director of Strategic Partnerships, delves into how CYPHER’s solutions-oriented youth programs are advancing transformative change.
CYPHER’s Sustainable Earth Decathlon (SED2014) is a dynamic event that showcases innovative youth solutions to build healthy, climate resilient neighborhoods. Multiple teams from colleges and universities will present their climate change solutions on Saturday, October 25 from 1pm to 7pm at L.A. Metro’s Gateway building in Downtown L.A. Part of SED2014 is the 1st Annual “Global Health Symposium on Youth Engagement”. It is the only venue of its kind tackling the role of the youth in addressing the overlap between human health and the environment in disadvantaged communities. CYPHER builds grassroots and grasstops collaborations to effect results-driven change.
